Sfeir describes Lebanon’s political stalemate as ‘lethal’

Israel scoffs at UNIFIL’s calls to withdraw from Ghajar

Agencies- Commander of the UN Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL) Major General Claudio Graziano said on Sunday that Israel’s ongoing occupation of parts of the border town of Ghajar was a violation to UN Resolution 1701. “Israel still occupies the northern part of the town of Ghajar and this goes against UN Security Council Resolution 1701,” Graziano said. Arab League warns of review of peace offer to Israel if provocations continue

Berri rips Israeli violations at Euro-Mediterranean summit

Parliament Speaker Nabih Berri along with MPs Yassine Jabre and Walid Khoury visited the Greek capital on Friday for the fourth Euro-Mediterranean general parliamentary meeting. Siniora states his case for decision to boycott summit

On the eve of the Arab Lague summit in Damascus, Lebanese Prime Minister Fouad Siniora said Friday that his government was staying away from the gathering to demonstrate the Lebanese people’s refusal to accept a presidential vacuum. In a televised speech, Siniora addressed the Arab community, stressing that “Lebanon should only be represented by its Christian president, who reflects the country’s diversity and is the only Christian Arab president,” Siniora said.
